What led to this experimentation with nail polish on water was the aim to come up with visual elements for the museum identity, that are natural and organic looking. The colours picked were quite random at first but, ended up being the perfect choice.
Pour some cold water in a bowl.
Gently pour different colours of nail polish.
Move the nail polish on the surface of the water with a thin object to create shapes and combine colours.
When happy with how it looks, slowly put a piece of paper or tracing paper on the surface and not long after that take it out and lay to dry.
To play more with the final designs, photos were taken and some editing on Photoshop was done to finalise and polish the final look of the elements.
